Sandra is 1st rate. Our project included updating the kitchen and bathrooms in a 1960’s ranch home. She works with an excellent manufacturer. The new cabinets will hold up for many many years and are easy to keep up. Sandra listened to my ideas and made great suggestions for things I never thought of. The project was for our retirement home and she designed the spaces so we will be able to age gracefully in them. The installation was done with care and completed in a timely way. Sandra worked hand and hand with our appliance vendor and everything fit perfectly. I highly recommend this company.

We did a complete kitchen remodel and used Cabinets by Design to assist us with the design and cabinet choice. Sandra listened carefully to our list of wishes and must haves and stayed within our budget. Both Sandra & Scott have great attention to detail and did a wonderful job designing and installing a beautiful, functional kitchen that is a pleasure to cook & entertain in. We love the soft close doors, roll out shelves, a 3-tier spice rack, a place for cookie sheets, cutting boards, etc. Our kitchen design had more lower than upper cabinets and Sandra convinced me to try putting our stemware in a large drawer. I was skeptical, but it works beautifully! We have so much storage now that my husband has his own drawer for all his barbeque/smoker tools and accessories. Scott is a master at installation. His attention to detail makes him a true craftsman. We highly recommend Sandra & Scott.

Twelve years ago, Sandra designed my beautiful kitchen and a bathroom in my previous home. We loved the open, efficient design of our kitchen and received many compliments over the years, so of course, we sought out Sandra at Cabinets by Design for a project in our new home. We removed a washer and dryer from cabinets in our large kitchen and Sandra helped us design the best way to add drawers, roll outs and a trash drawer in our empty cabinet space. Though it was a small job, it was not without multiple challenges due to restrictions with plumbing, electrical panels, and cabinets that were not standard sizes. Scott did a great job problem solving these issues and completed the installation according to schedule. My kitchen area has become much more functional. Items that I previously only used for entertaining or special occasions because they were stored out of reach, are now easily accessible and used on a daily basis. We have recommended Sandra and Scott to multiple friends who have been equally pleased and satisfied with their design, cabinet quality, competitive pricing, timely delivery and expert craftsmanship in installation. We will not hesitate to use their services again in the future and will continue to recommend them to others.

Jamie, here, we chatted on the phone the other day. I wanted to follow-up with an email regarding our phone conversation to let you know how satisfied we have been with the installation of our beautiful cabinets. My wife and I were talking last week about the Amish and the fine work that the Amish do on all of their commercial products and also on their homes and other buildings. We were both lamenting the fact that most work that we see being performed today is of a very poor quality and we as consumers do not see the same caliber of work that we used to see years ago. That was until recently. We were admiring the work that Scott from your company did when he installed our cabinets. The work that he has done is quality work and it hearkens back to what we used to get from American craftsman. Scott takes pride in his work and it shows, he is conscientious, professional and at the risk of being redundant I will say that he exhibits tremendous pride in his craftsmanship. Not only did my wife and I notice this, but our designer and our contractor also commented on his work. You should be most grateful that you have a craftsman of the quality of Scott. Sandra was so helpful and especially patient for us on our kitchen project. During the selection process for cabinets, appliances and accessories, my wife was fighting breast cancer and was only really physically and mentally available 3 to 4 days per month, so it was a long protracted process. Sandra worked with us through these trying times to make it all come together so that we have a beautiful modern, very efficient kitchen and family room. I would also be remiss if I didn’t note that the contractor that she recommended, GQ Complete Remodeling, was fantastic in all aspects of the project.

We had been searching the big box stores for new bathroom vanities. Our vanity is an odd size and we found nothing we liked. I happened to drive by Cabinets by Design and did a u-turn into the parking lot. I am so glad I did! Sandra had great ideas for our bathroom vanity. She made several trips to our house and even helped us pick out the granite top. The people she works with: the electrician and plumber were also prompt and honest in their services. Cabinets by Design recently designed a kitchen and master bath for us. This was a remodel of an old 1930’s home and we are very pleased with the results. Sandra had excellent ideas for designing the kitchen cabinets to be functional in our small kitchen space. We wanted to have a “cottage” look and she achieved that by suggesting a distressed finish in an off-white which matched our dining room set. Sandra also helped us in selecting tile, granite and appliances from local businesses. We were very pleased with the installation of the cabinets by Scott. Both the master bath, with white beadboard cabinets and the kitchen are a pleasing blend of cottage classic with modern functional features.

We desperately needed a kitchen makeover and were so fortunate when we found Cabinets By Design. Sandra and Scott gave us all of our must-haves and so much more. We never dreamed when it was finished that we would have so much more workspace and storage. Scott designed and made a custom range hood that matched our cherry cabinets and it was the first thing that caught everyone’s eyes. The project was completed on time and on budget. It was very hard to sell our home and leave our wonderful kitchen behind. I can tell you that every prospective buyer who walked through our home, drooled when they went into the kitchen. We received 3 offers after the first open house (one at full price). We honestly feel that monetarily we received back more that we spent. The enjoyment of having our dream kitchen was a wonderful added bonus.

They came in and measured our kitchen cabinets. Then we were presented a couple of designs.Then she presented cabinet style options and colors along with countertop and backsplash choices. We chose our colors, appliances and granite counter top. Within a short couple of weeks the appliances arrived the counters got installed then the sink and counter was installed . OUR ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS A HUGE SUCESS. We would reccommend Cabinets by Design highly.

Cabinets by Design is an outstanding home improvement business. We recently remodeled a 1950’s ranch home in Southern California and of the dozen contractors we dealt with there was no comparison that the owner Sandra Tierney was well above and beyond her peers in her design aesthetic and ability to get the job done with expert skill and quality. After spending $1000’s on an interior designer to come up with unique and interesting ideas for the rearrangement/design of a tiny kitchen, Sandra and Cabinets by Design was given to us as reference.
In less than a day Sandra had come up with a brilliant plan that was made perfect sense to the limited space we had to work with. After additional design consulation we purchased all our new cabinets from Cabinets by Design and she threw in the design for free! Something our “designer” was unable to come up with and cost us dearly. Sandra even assisted us with coordination of the countertops and recommend many other vendors to help us finish our kitchen remodel. If we ever take on a remodel project again we would have no hesitation to use Cabinets by Design and give them our highest recommendation to anyone who might ask.

Sandra of Cabinets by Design was recommended by our contractor and we could not be happier with the choice. This was our first major remodel and Sandra took her time to walk us through the entire process and made us very comfortable. She helped with the design of Master Bath which has worked out perfectly. The cabinets themselves are beautiful and our entire family made comments on how nice they look, quality, and function during their recent Holiday stay. The value for money is outstanding.

Having known Sandra for many years, I would not have considered having anyone else design my kitchen. Sandra is not only a kitchen and bath designer but also a professional chef. Who would know better than she on how a kitchen should work? We communicated via email, telephone and Skype and even with the distance, she was quite “hands on” . After we agreed on the design of our small kitchen, Sandra arranged for the cabinetry to be delivered and we used our own contractor for installation. I couldn’t be happier with the results! I can’t imagine how difficult it was for her logistically but I hope that when she visits the East Coast, she’ll stop by to see how functional our kitchen is and how happy we are! Cabinets by Design designed and delivered a fabulous kitchen transformation for me in my small condo, changing a dark galley kitchen into a gleaming open space with somehow twice the storage and counter space. The owner is a chef, so she understands how to arrange things practically and ergonomically. We got a new floor to ceiling pantry where one had not existed before and an adorable window seating arrangement with under-seat drawers for the dining area, all of which gave me precious storage.
This company has a great team who came every day until the job was finished, not working my little kitchen job around other larger jobs at their convenience. They listened to what I wanted and were willing to experiment with design ideas and materials until we got it right. Several of my friends have used this same company, so this was a word of mouth recommendation, and I am happy to continue to spread the word.
